The Freq51 Discord server is the central hub for our community mesh network. Itโ€™s where we plan, experiment, and collaborate on real-world RF-based communication using Meshtastic.

When you join the Freq51 Discord server, we guide you through a simple onboarding process to get set up and connected to your community.

This process ensures everyone is set up for participation and can engage with the right region and mesh type.

About Freq51

The Freq51 community is building an open community mesh that anyone can join.

This network is designed as a radio-frequency communication tool for:

  • Emergency and disaster response
  • Off-grid (non-internet) coordination
  • Experimentation and hobbyist projects
  • Learning and collaboration around mesh networking

No radio license is required to use Meshtastic, making it accessible to newcomers and experienced operators alike.

Whether youโ€™re here to experiment, support emergency preparedness, or explore mesh networking, youโ€™re welcome.

What Youโ€™ll Find on Discord

Inside the Discord server, youโ€™ll find:

  • Weekly Net coordination and reminders
  • Live reporting during the Weekly Net
  • Check-ins, stats, and summaries
  • Node ownership and tracking
  • Technical discussion and troubleshooting

Many of these features are powered by our custom Freq51 Discord Bot.
